Unemployment is an impressively low 2.7%. Situated in south east London, Bexley runs from Thamesmead just south of the river Thames, south to border Bromley. Bexley also has borders with Greenwich to the west, and Dartford in Kent to the east. As one of the larger outer boroughs, Bexley has plenty of large open spaces, with many parks and woodland areas. There are also many historical sites to be found such as the ruins of Lesnes Abbey, and other sites of interest such as Danson Mansion and the Red House, both in Bexleyheath. Property prices are highest in Sidcup and more notably Blackfen, where many decent sized detached and semi-detached properties can be found, mainly built during the Victorian era. Expect to find cheaper rental and property prices in the north of the borough around the Thamesmead and Belvedere areas.
