Area Guide to BrentFor lettings in Brent, please use the menu above. This north-west London borough is known for it's huge ethnic diversity. With a population of 272,00 people, 45% are white, over 28% Asian, and 20% are Afro-Caribbean and Black African, making it one of the most diverse place in the country. Brent, which was formed in 1965 with the boroughs of Wembley and Wilsden, is bordered by Harrow to the north-west, Barnet to the north-east, Camden to the east and Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster to the south. Brent is also known for one of it's favourite landmarks, Wembley Stadium which is currently under re-development and has brought in much appreciate investment. One other to look out for is the Neasdon Temple which is thought to be the largest Hindu temple outside India. Not a borough known for smart housing, Brent has had a poor reputation in the past, though some decent properties can be found in Kingsbury. Kilburn has some rough spots, but has seen something of a small revival with some decent flats to be found. Queen's Park offers more attractive properties coupled with decent transport links and it's close proximity to central London, but expect higher prices. If you are looking for a dive, then there are plenty of areas to choose from. The likes of Neasdon, Willesden and Dollis Hill offer very little to get excited about. At least there's a tube line!
