Bromley is situated in the far south-east of London but is more akin to Kent, in fact many believe it shouldn't even be part of London. Bromley is generally a middle class borough, so don't expect to find many bargains here, though as with most areas you can find cheaper property as long as you're not fussy. Rental and property prices have been driven higher by a desire to live here due to good quality schools and bustling towns which lead to attractive rural villages. Plenty of open spaces can be found with woodlands, nature trails and many parks. There are many nice areas to choose from including Bromley itself, which is the largest town in the borough, Beckenham with it's happening high street and good links into Central London and the quiet area of Chislehurst. The slightly less well off areas tend to be in the north of the borough where there is less open space and due to it's location, has a more city like feel.
